Irene has been a patent attorney since the mid 1990s and has worked as in-house counsel and outside counsel. Irene was a patent attorney at Cooley, Godward, and in-house counsel at Apple and Silicon Graphics, as well as having represented several Bay Area start-ups in her own practice. Irene has prosecuted patents in semiconductor devices including circuits, test, packaging as well as software products for numerous market applications. Prior to practicing law, Irene was a circuit design engineer for large scale computers.
Irene received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law. Irene has been admitted to practice in California and admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
